Do liberals realize that the spying on political opponents won't stop at Trump?

I'm just wondering. Does this reality not exist in your heads?
It's not like when the next person is in office, the left is going to forget about its new secret police toy.
Hell. It's not like the government in general will forget that around half of Americans WANT it to happen.
You people yell Nazi reflexively. Have none of you read a history book? Totalitarian regimes aren't some accident. They rise FROM the people. The people approve of them.
Congratulations lefties. You've come out in open favor of political spying using the intelligence apparatus
Hell. Why are you even worried about Russian influence. I'm sure the former Soviets can give you notes on how to perfect it.

i mean we just got a playbook on how to utterly use and abuse our criminal justice system to attack political opponents
it's all fair game, now
and we also were just told that questioning this behavior by government actors is terrible and should be ostracized
so no more "Trump is a fascist" arguments. that undermines the integrity of our government institutions

Sadly they do not care as they have no moral code other than win, at ALL COSTS

If people are not charged, prosecuted and put away within the next two years, you won't see anyone go to jail over this. If we've forgotten about the Vegas shootings in such short order then this will also pass in a shorter order.
If it does, America is no longer the nation it was on the basis it was founded.

They think they are going to flood the country with south of the border trash where they eventually can do whatever they want without challenge. They already have the media mostly in place for it.

Yep
They've finally completely shown their hand
They support a secret police apparatus to attack opponents
Eventually, that won't only be used against politicians

Funny. Last night I told my wife it will take two years, but this nation WILL clean up this mess.

We better because unlike decent Cubans, Mexicans, Venezuelans, etc. who can run here we have no place to go.

A few months ago I was talking with a friend, and I drew parallels between the U.S. today and Russia at the turn of the 20th century. The sentiment among the people that lead to the 1905 revolution were similar to the sentiment of liberals today. Even though intentions were noble, improve the plight of the poor, etc., they paved the way for the Bolshevik Revolution which lead to the formation of the Soviet Union.
Ironic, right?

In what way? What are you talking about?
Is this about "the memo". It's been roundly discredited as hyper-partisan, incomplete and very misleading. I mean: Devin Nunes (who worked on the Trump transition team) was behind it. Hardly unbiased. Although having watched Fox News for 15 minutes last night, I understand why many of you don't know that.
Wait until the other memo comes out to make such judgements.

Set out for me one possible hypothetical scenario whereby this "other memo" completely explains away all wrong doing set out in this "hyper-partisan" memo.

And after all this nothing on Trump. You would be damn sure if they found Russian ties it would have been leaked.

Plenty have taken the position that what the memo describes is perfectly fine

That’s what happens when a person rejects God. When they reject the rules and guidelines civilization has created over the centuries, refined through time with its backbone grounded in Judeo-Christian values.
How can you expect people that are consumed with power and mentally/spiritually dominated by evil forces to have any sense of ethical boundaries?
What we are seeing is the decline of the church and the beginning of the end. We are seeing a corrupt world racing towards a one world government, a false prophet running the Catholic Church and the beginnings of all things needed to set up the arrival of the beast. It can’t be stopped. Hang on, it’s going to get bad once it starts.

a. What wrongdoing? The memo didn't even make the case for wrongdoing.
b. I'll assume (for the sake of time) this wrongdoing is - the warrant shouldn't have been granted based on the Steele dossier. There was almost certainly more evidence supporting it (per media reports for over a week). Evidence that was left out of the hyper-partisan 4 page memo that was cherry-picked from a 50-some odd page document.
The FBI statement on Nunes' memo:
Let's see what's in the other memo before jumping to conclusions.

The FBI statement on Nunes' memo:
quote:
With regard to the House Intelligence Committee’s memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it. As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.
Let's see what's in the other memo before jumping to conclusions.

The common thread is class warfare. Greed is the greatest weapon of the left. But, the only way it works is to make everyone poor. You can't punish success and expect fairness and prosperity.

So. You are taking the position that what the memo describe is ok if true?
Hence. My OP

I don’t think the minions of the left think that far ahead.
They only know that George Clooney and Tom Hanks tell them they should hate President Trump at all costs. No matter the means, if it hurts Trump, it’s justified.
