First time in school history! BOOM

Another crowd of about 14,000 are set to attend!

We need to expand the PMAC

That's more than can be seen in Tiger Stadium after halftime.

It just goes to show you that Tiger fans will show up to support a winner. Even in an arena as "outdated" as the PMAC and for a sport as annoying as gymnastics.

New arenas and other superficial "necessities" don't matter if you aren't winning. On the other hand, the gymnastics team is showing you that you don't need to have the most modern arena in the land to attract a crowd. Just be damn good at your sport and the fans will show up.

You had me until "annoying". Annoying is such a teenage word, so I'm wondering how old you are. And I'm curious as to what is "annoying" about gymnastics. I find it really fun to watch, and I'm amazed at the strength and talent the LSU ladies have.

ETA: Maybe by annoying you meant nerve wracking. That I could agree with!

Its also the atmosphere of the meets and pre and post meet festivities that are fun. Introductions of the team is extremely unique. Usually there is free food, shirts and stuff involved each home meet too. Its also affordable which helps.

how is gymnastics annoying?

I think most would agree its pretty incredible how athletes can perform some of the most difficult and dangerous skills in the entire world.

You’re an idiot. If you actually would attend one, you’d see they’re actually pretty fun to attend. Plus, those girls would woop your arse.

Gymnastics is not a sport.

More like performing arts.

Much more interesting to watch than WBB tho. So there's that

It's just very controversial. Scoring goes as the human judges go.
Example: 3 girls did 3 back flips in a row. But to 3/5 judges, it seemed as though girl(2) did it "better" than girl(1) & (3). Therefore Girl(2) is the winner.

In boxing and MMA for example, you can have a definite winner by KO. But when they leave it to the judges, it's always controversial.

Boxing/MMA = sport
Gymnastics = performing arts

Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Hockey, Golf, Track & Field, even Waterpolo... All sports

I refuse to call it a sport if you cannot definitely win or lose by a point system or by timing (fastest).

Don't get me wrong though. Very entertaining.

Obviously by the sell-out crowds

Just because there are judges, it makes it not a sport? I mean yes. Routines are judged differently and scored different based off routine composition, level of difficulty, connection bonus, technique, etc.

Its not as simple as who did the best back flip

But most of the time its not always controversial. The usual clear winner, typically always win. Unless you are Florida and the compete in a meet down there.

Its just a different type of sport
