To start the season, I would have laughed at the thought but to see the way he has improved I could see a team taking him in the late rounds. What say the rant?

Didn't realize the NBA only had two rounds in the draft. Sorry. That being said He should get picked up as a rookie free agent

I really don't know but it wouldn't shock me like it would have to start the year.

I do hope Reath is an example of what we can come to expect as far as player development goes under Wade.

ETA: forgot about his age, etc. factoring in. Doubt he'll be drafted but still has been a bright spot this season.

Doubt it. He’ll get a shot in the G league though

He's been solid offensively but that's about all you can say overall. His limited athleticism wont get him drafted. Not a rebounder, rim protector and not enough range offensively.

His development has been really good here though.

I don't know if he will get drafted, but he is consistently solid and the runaway MVP for LSU if the season ended today in my opinion.

that's a tricky question bc some teams intentionally pick players they know aren't good enough to compete for a spot or a contract. Reath is not good enough to make a team. Maybe after some further development, though.

Nope
Way too soft for a big man
Not very good defensively and can't block shots either
Should be putting up a double double every game
Misses way too many easy baskets
Doesn't do a good job of attacking the basket and getting to free throw line either

Very little chance he gets drafted, but it isn't like it matters. His chance of going in the firest round is 0%, and second round picks are often not even offered contracts.

Reath will float around in the G league for a while. If he improves more there, he might get a few ten days.

Hopefully. He’d be a pure Euro baller though with his skill set.

Doubt it but will make good money overseas where you dont need so much athleticism

He is over 50% shooting threes. The pro's will like that he can pull the other team's big away from the basket. He has improved an incredible amount. Used to have the worst hands but now has great ones. He does still miss too many easy shots and really has to work on his dribbling and footwork but overall I think he can make a pro team.

Maybe second round. I think he has potential as a good stretch 4 in the NBA. Someone to come off the bench. He can keep working on his shot and could he useful to some teams

possibly late, but he will be 22 by draft time and he doesn't have an NBA body. If he doesn't have an NBA body at 22, he never will

He takes like 1 a game, putting 1 completely uncontested 3 up a game doesnt mean you have a range. He's an around the basket player 98% of the time.

Remember the Michigan big from earlier in the season? Moritz Wagner, THAT is a true big (6'10+) with range. He takes about 4 a game. Forces you to defend him inside and out.

There are two rounds total. That leaves no room for late rounds.

Hard to see it in the NBA....what about a decent career in Europe? I'd like to see the guy do well....

Good point, but Darnell Lazzare was a D League all star, and he is about on the same level with his skill set as Reath is with his, although they aren't very similar.
