Two-way guard Charles Cooke has returned to the #Pelicans after his transfer to the @slcstars of the @nbagleague
In 4 games with Salt Lake City: 7.5 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 1.0 APG

This could be a simple check in but I wonder if it's because Liggins is no longer on the team now.

I wish there were a way to hold onto liggins. Oh well

Liggins 2nd 10 day expired and TA is not ready to play. Cooke will likely stay with the squad until TA can play or a move is made.

The trade deadline is in 9 days. If the team wants him back enough that they asked him to wait for some moves to be made, I'm sure he'll wait. The Pels have an excellent track record of getting fringe NBA players contracts.

Yeah that's the hope I'm holding onto. Of course, I don't want us to make a trade just to allow us to keep Liggins. If there's other beneficial reasons for the trade, then great.

Would you dump Tony Allen with a bit of cash to do it? I would. And you can get Liggins to sign a 2 year deal with a team option next year. If he works out you get a productive player on a minimum deal next year that you'll have Early Bird Rights to. If he doesn't work out you can cut him.

Have to move a player to bring him on...Potentially could see another piece added to the Mirotic deal to do that very thing

They currently don't have the roster spots for that. Liggins was signed into a temporary injury exception roster spot. They are working on trades though so I wouldn't be surprised if he does end up getting signed once trades happen.

Absolutely. Will Benson, though? Also, what's the limit on cash transactions?

The team is given an operating budget each year. You probably only need to add $200k-$400k.

$5.1 this year, we spent about half of it in the QPon deal. So they still have about $2.5 left.
