Everyone always says this on here yet the in game threads for these shows go on for a while.
The last Awards show I watched was the oscars from a few years back when Leo went all global warming for 5 minutes. I haven’t watched a minute of an awards show since.
Entertainers need to learn their place. America is partially to blame. Putting entertainment at a higher priority than most things in their life.

And the fact so many people always want to hear their opinions on things. People look to them for fashion sense and things but it doesn't stop there.

on what basis do you find him talented? Just trying to understand... I guess I am too white to understand
Lyrically, he does put some good stuff together, as does Kanye and J Cole periodically.
There’s a difference between the rappers who sing (terribly) about big butts, money and weed, and Kendrick Lamar.
You can incorporate those things into your lyrics without literally the entire song being a hook about those things. If that makes sense. Listen to Rae Srremurd/Lil Yachty and Kendrick Lamar and note the differences.

I have recently started making a shift away from radio music and towards Broadway artists (Audra McDonald, Billy Porter, Lin Manuel Miranda, etc)
I much prefer live singing to this overly produced and auto tuned garbage.
But Bruno Mars is very catchy.

They are highly paid jesters/entertainers, not social policy experts or even role models.

When you treat them like they are, they become it. Whether they should be or not is irrelevant. We as society have made them so.
Exhibit A: kardashians.

I like Bruno Mars because he is crazy talented. I don't give a shite about performers outside of their music.
