pels currently 5th based on tiebreakers.
best case tonite is
Clippers beats Nuggets
Pelicans beats Warriors
Rockets beats Thunder
if that happens, pels playoff chances go to 92%. any two wins out of the pels last three clinches a spot regardless.
3-0, obviously in, 50/50 for 4 or 5
2-1, clinched, 28/47/19% odds for 5 thru 7
1-2, 31/44% odds for 7 & 8, 17% chance they miss out
0-3, 92% out

the magic number for both the thunder and the spurs is also 2, just like the pels.
pels can put one loss on the spurs, OKC has HOU today and then MIA/MEM to close. SAS has POR today, then SAC/NOP.

Injury report vs. NOP: Andre Iguodala (left knee soreness) & Nick Young (flu-like symptoms) are probable. Shaun Livingston (right knee soreness) is doubtful. Omri Casspi (sprained right ankle), Stephen Curry (left MCL sprain) & Patrick McCaw (lumbar spine contusion) are out.

Yeah, I looked at the schedule for tonight and thought this should be a good night for the Pels. One of Denver/Clippers and Portland/Spurs will lose on top of a likely OKC loss. Then I noticed tonight is the Warriors game for the Pels

if they lose out then oh well, they didn’t deserve a spot.
I think the most excruciating outcome would be lose the next two, beat the spurs, then miss the playoffs on a tie breaker
that would be the most pels outcome anyway
so much can change if they just win one of the next two...at least then if they beat the spurs they are in

we really really need DEN out of this
the other really bad factor is the 0-4 vs wolves.
