Eh, that number scares me a bit. 34%, even in a biased CNN poll, is a high return for that specific of a question.
I think it's possible Trump wins the branding war here, but the sheer volume of sources that aren't going to touch the Schumer Shutdown label is always going to be formidable.
It's not that they have bigger sticks than we do, FNC, etc. are heavy hitters. But with more comes credibility and saturation we just can't match. Thankfully everyone sees Trump's tweets and CNN will stupidly show Trump tweeting "the Schumer Shutdown" every 4 minutes, thereby doing his work for him even though nobody on the network is going to say that.

I don't see how any side "wins" here. Somehow, we have a shutdown that few Americans want over an issue most Americans agree on. GOP congressional leaders look weak having the majority and not getting something done. Dems look bad forcing the DACA issue when there's still time on the clock for a deal. The dealmaker in Chief looks ineffective at herding the cats of Congress.
The whole thing is stupid and everyone involved deserves to stink of it.
