This. Homeowners will cover water damage, but not from flood waters. Ask me how I know this.......

I think this is right. When the pipe breaks under a slab, it gets pretty pricy.

100% accurate.
Flood insurance covers RISING water, that does at least one of the following:
1. floods two or more acres
2. floods your house and one other property
