I agree. The crowd Saturday night wasn't what it used to be. I tried making noise, but everyone around me was just sitting down until the end. But I think it's going to take some time to build it like it used to be. Winning consistently will help that. At least I hope
True. But I also think part of it is just the pace the game was played. Alabama will slow things down and so will LSU. There really weren't any huge runs by LSU. That's what works the crowd into a frenzy (and why the coach on the other side of a run calls a timeout to stop the momentum). I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's just the style this particular LSU team plays.
LSU has been very efficient on offense, but they haven't been particularly explosive. A barrage of quick threes. Steals and TO's leading to high flying dunks. The crowd might get excited for one sequence, then there is 2-3 minutes of actual time where it's just a grind and the crowd quiets down.

With the weather forecast getting worse and worse (more rain, lower temps), I doubt the PMAC is even 1/3 full tonight.
Sucks.
Sucks.

I still plan going. The cold won’t deter me, but ice might.

I can count on one hand how many games I've missed in the last 7 years.
Unfortunately, I live out of town and commuting is impossible for some of us when roads are shutdown.

It's called Speech to Text a-hole. I'm not going to proofread a message board post

Yea, that's the sort of energy LSU basketball used to have at home. I remember when the PMAC first opened in 1971-72 and the Tigers were not good. The starting lineup was Apple Sanders, Fig Newton, Steve Chidley, Tommy Hess and Collis Temple II! They fired the coach at the end of the season, yet still had a winning record vs SEC in the PMAC (5-4). The high point of the season was a 17 point upset of Kentucky. The Deaf Dome was PACKED for a team that had clinched a losing record, had no hope of a postseason (there was no SEC tourney back then), and yet the noise level was truly deafening!

My wife and I did not go to the IceGame versus UK in 2014. We have already decided to go tonight no matter what. We are taking 4 people with us too.
LSU will have great crowds when we consistently play well and are contenders year-in-and-year-out. Crowds come ATYER that has been established.

When I got to the game Saturday night, I told my dad "LSU is going to have to learn to be a basketball crowd again."
The crowd was pretty numb the other night. We started to get into it in the first half we went went up by 5 or so, but Bama came right down and shut us up as soon as we got loud. Nothing again from the crowd until the ref bit at the end.

was the same as kentucky a couple weeks ago. every time the crowd tried to get into it, kentucky would score another basket. we couldn't go on a run and keep the crowd into it.

I'll still be there, rain cold or ice...

LSU should just have everyone sit in the lower bowl tonight. That would make for a badass crowd
