bama had THREE redshirt seniors in its starting 22 vs UGA. and one of those was a 5 star.

Eight more starters were either SRs or RS JRs. in others words, half of the starting lineup had been there 4 or 5 years.

on defense alone, they had three seniors who were all top 15 overall prospects in HS (Da'Shawn Hand was 5, Tony Brown was 9, Rashaan Evans was 14).

I would think that a lot of this is due to depth. They are just ridiculously deep. Tony Brown and Hand weren't huge components of that defense until this year.

LSU gets it's fair share of developed 4 and 5 star players, but they usually aren't stuck behind 3 others at that position, so they play from day 1.

So they hear from day 1 about how they'll be in the NFL, etc. etc.

Alabama is able to do this because they have 4 and 5 stars sitting on the bench for 2-3 years at some positions. That's the kind of depth they have been able to accrue over the years.

Of the players you listed:

Da'Shawn Hand was a first time starter this year.

Tony Brown has had attitude problem throughout his career, was suspended 4 games last year. he's also been a bust. That INT in the title game was his first of the season. For the season this year he has 31 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT, and 2 PBUs

Rashaan Evan was also a first time starter this year. He had spent last year backing up Rueben Foster, and spent his first two years playing mainly special teams.
