This exactly. Pain management docs (at least in the industry I work in) are thought of the same way that chiropractors and plastic surgeons are. Their main focus is getting people hooked on addictive drugs that they often don't truly need.

For sure. A buddy of mine has been getting a sizable script of Lortab-ish strength pain meds for years. Just recently they surprised him with a mandatory MRI(His out of pocket $500) of his back to continue getting his script. Ouch.
