How would you feel about 7-8 wins?

Maybe because the head coach was a catastrophic failure at Ole Miss and only went 9-4 against the easiest schedule in 30 years? Or because the binder was based on good coordinator hires and he botched his first one?

Or because we get to spend all off season stewing over an ugly bowl loss?

______

We played Notre Dame - hardly a patsy...
While young Orgeron did struggle at Ole Miss, he was successful at USC. Did a good job as interim last year...and by most standards had a pretty good season this year...hmmm

Reality is we play in the SEC West. We can't all be 11-1. We all want the same thing. Another national title.

That's true

But as we work toward that

But here's the problem: we aren't doing that. We're hiring people to run our football program who are not qualified to do so.

If we were doing our best and going out there and bringing in great people, or at least up and coming people with a lot of upside, then the admin would get a lot more slack from the fan base. Hiring good ole boys and yes men is the opposite of that.

Not good. He would be in deserved trouble the following season at the very least. 7-8 wins is not acceptable. Not at all. Far tooo much talent for that type of failure.

Look we had to do something we were stuck in the mud with Miles. Les was great for several years and that situation was mishandled. We are moving forward. No one is sure if we are moving in the right direction...we will see...

So he will be successful at lsu as long as he:
doesn't hire the cooridnators
doesnt choose the scheme
doesnt run the defense
doesnt run the offense
and isnt allowed to make long term decisions

It's obvious that interim O and permanent coach O are dramatically different people

9-4 is not a pretty good season at LSU

9-4 against that schedule REALLY isn't a good season at LSU.

of course not. its because at some point all that "RAH RAH ONE HEARTBEAT"
crap doesnt work and you actually have to coach.

It's way deeper than that. Interim O coaches like he has nothing to lose. He's aggressive but not reckless.

Permanent Coach O makes decisions (both on the field and off) from a place of fear.

Or you're yet another shill here for our idiot head coach who seems more worried about local PR than doing his god damned job. I mean...Tigerdroppings has only been the largest and most visited LSU site for 15 years or so...so unless you're new to LSU, or the internet there about zero reasons to have not had an account before October of 2017. Probably just coincidence though...right?

My only suggestion would be that this kind of thing is obvious here. If I were you, I'd take this little show to Facebook where it's much harder to tell what you're up to. At this point no one is buying this bullshite here.

Okay. Fair enough.

My concern for next season is that O and his supporters will move the goalposts once things get tough.

We will hear about the schedule, the new QB, the new offensive system, and on and on.

Personally, I think O has touched a third rail with Tiger fans. After years and years of bad offenses, LSU fans were hopefully that O would bring in new blood and turn the offense loose. He is hiring the TE coach instead. People are just fed up with bad offenses and this looks like more of the same.

That's not true. I'm trying to have a real conversation with you and you're ignoring me.
