I was in Covington and saw the Piccadilly and decided to go.

I do like their liver and onions.

The place is certainly dated and for that matter so are the customers!!

Glad I went.

My wife makes carrot soufflé that is just as good if not better than theirs. I ask her to make it all the time.

That being said, their chopped steak with extra juice, mac and cheese, and two yeast rolls is a cheat meal for me about every other month.

We usually go to the one on Sherwood once or twice a month. Liver and onions is always solid, and my son likes their hamburger steak. I also like their Neptune salad.

Haven’t been in forever but always loved the roast beef, fried chicken, and yeast rolls. Was my dads dads favorite spot. Back in the day the line at the dilly would be hoppin at about 5 o’clock. Good times

We have one that is still pretty good. The old farts will ONLY go to Piccadilly. They must be great to work for. The same old bags work there that did when I was a kid.

The wife and I occasionally go in Jackson on Sundays after church. Packed most Sundays. It is good wholesome food and we always enjoy it.

The one on sherwood is still decent (although a distant memory of its past) but the one in Covington is abysmal. Last time we ate there the Mac and cheese tasted like dishwasher and there wasn’t a clean booth in the place.

What are your food preferences? Coater is here also. Otis knows a bit because he comes through town occasionally.

Mr. Balls drives past Clinton every few weeks, but I think he keeps the petal to the metal, so to speak.

Edited to correct dumb fingers mistake.

I think I'll actually start a thread some day soon so I don't derail this one.
Hopefully you and the people you mentioned will be around then.
Thanks regardless though.

Both the cornbread options and desserts were good. There was an Italian dressing I loved. I’d buy it bottled.

We had 2 here and they both closed. I wish they were still here. I grew up eating that stuff.

Their brown gravy is so good and I love their roast beef.

Best mac and cheese.

Yep, fried cod, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, and a soft roll.
And a neptune salad to start.

I went for the first time in a long time(5+ years) recently as well, they changed the Italian Dressing, and they broke my heart.

Other than that, pretty much everything was as I remembered.

I saw one that has a buffet for breakfast. Has anyone ever tried that?
