I killed my first one at 8 in the atchafalaya basin near Ramah.
I turn 70 this year and still hunt a couple times a year.
We had a 6 deer limit in La forever and my camp killed over 100 every year forever. In fact the last 3 years my buddies that are there killed 150. Talked to him today and he is 68 and already killed 6 this season.
In Texas, I’ve had the pleasure to hunt the hill country in addition to south Texas. It’s really not that hard if you’ve lived long enough.

Wow...100 bucks is a huge number and maybe possible if you had lots of family property or were a lease manager. I'm on 2 MLD3 leases and hunt my own property and I've probably taken ~30 bucks in my lifetime.
I've heard plenty of "drunk" deer stories around my camp but those are almost always about big bucks rather than lifetime quantity of bucks. And the other stories are the funny ones like... "shitting in hood of a camo jacket without realizing it".

Same can be said for the old river channel around Glasscock. Nice Buck for MB...My biggest buck came from Natchez area hills also.
