Still nothing on buy out talk. Money is not an issue so if a full buy out is agreed that won't change search.

There are 3 names being talked about. 1 is an NFL guy. 1 is Briles that's all I know. O really likes the spread with our WR we will have this season.

IF and by if I mean a small chance all are swing and misses they will promote Ensminger. I'm told do not be too upset at that because O plans on bringing in a QB coach/passing game coordination.

Or or or...OR

They could grow some balls and hire somebody to get our offense out of the Stone Age.

Hmm. So it's not Joe Lombardi either then.

None of that makes sense.

Briles is out. We've all resigned to that fact.

The NFL guy is Saints QB coach. He failed pretty badly as OC in Detroit.

IF Ensminger moves to OC, then we won't be bringing in a separate QB coach.

Literally none of this is good news.

I would tend to agree and it's why I spent a lot of time in other threads comparing how effectively A&M secured their DC versus how we conducted our last HC hire and how we appear to be conducting (based on best available information) our current OC hire.

If LSU, again, simply promotes a position coach, Alleva and anyone responsible needs to be held accountable. They would have demonstrated a pattern of behavior illustrating either incompetence or political corruption.

If money isn’t an object then why the frick is there only three names?!?!? One which supposedly is a no go anyway, another is some random NFL guy, and third is Ensminger???? WTF?!?

Reading b/w the lines, it sounds like it will be some BS Ensminger/new guy mix. Which is awful (co-coordinators, we've been down that path before.) They are literally tens of potential offensive coordinator hires out there ... you don't make a few preliminary approaches at a Gilbert, or Yurcich, and if it doesn't immediately result in their hire, say ," Oh well, we tried! Have to hire our TE coach!" You don't do that unless you're an idiot like Joe Alleva.

That doesn't really mean anything. He has a 50/50 shot of being right in that situation.

I believe you do have a reliable source. My big question is WHY??? Why the frick is this what we may be stuck with?!

TBL on twitter is hinting that its Ensminger, which would be so lazy and uninspiring of O.

"Fall back" from what? Getting rebuffed by one of two guys you approach? Why in the frick does it have to be this way? Why are these clowns so incompetent? You talk to Yurcich, Gilbert, Sark ... I am sure there are other well-qualified offensive coordinators out there who would jump at the chance at making millions to coach at LSU.

The 3 they are talking too all have interest. That's why it's 3.

Well, I've tweeted O my displeasure with Ensminger as OC. I hope that helps.
