Problems with Spypoint wireless cameras

We bought half a dozen of these for Camp in September and August and they were all working great until about thanksgiving. Mine went out, I replaced batteries and they were drained immediately, which is bizarre because I had a 12 volt back up too.
I wrote them a email and they gave me some new software to install which I did. I talked to the other guys with then and they are all down. They already installed software didn’t do shite. I put my camera out, brand new batteries drained immediately no pics.
When I was talking with other guys we realized all this started right after the free unlimited service wore off. We all bought continued unlimited. ( I was getting about 1500 deer pics a month)
We now have no wires less cameras during the rut which is what we wanted them for mostly. ( 24 inch main beam so we have limited number of shooter deer and need to know when new shooters move in.
This is right north of vicksburg and we have solid ATT and sprint which is why we bought these cameras. Anyone else having these issues. I want to know how widespread this issue is and if there is a recall or serious problem I will let you guys know. Bought mine from Bass Pro

Got damn. I don’t feel bad for you if you have 24” beams running around. That’s a hoss.

and cell phone cameras. I still don't feel sorry for you.
But to your post, I can't afford a moultrie, so don't have a spypoint, and cannot help with your problem. Good luck though. I hope you post a 160" deer here next week.

There's been people fussing all year about camera's , apparently they all have issues.
I have a Moultrie (brand new this yr) it worked great for a while but stopped taking night pics.
Replaced batteries, two weeks later same problem

Only thing I can think of is if you are using lithium batteries maybe the cold weather is killing them. But it wasn't this cold when you said it started. One thing that may have changed is daylight savings time creating more night pictures. We run Spartan cameras just south of you. We have had small problems but nothing major. Biggest problem is they lose signal and need to be reset.

How often are you syncing up? The more often you sync, the more power it uses. I use lithium batteries. They last about 1000 pics or 30days

I had a ton of problems with my spypoint, from not taking pics, to not syncing, to not staying powered even with the spypoint solar panel. Eventually got tired of jacking with it. Have not bought another cell phone camera as i dont have anywhere to hunt.

I read something from Trailcampros just the other day and they were saying not to use Alkaline batteries when it’s cold because they drain way to fast and recommended sticking with lithium.

Covert Black Ops. 12.1 works great. No issues at all and I’ve got limited cell service.

I bought a Link-W cell camera for my uncle's 80th Birthday and it is a piece of junk! Technical support wasn't any better. It will not take any pictures no matter how you set it up. I called the company and they said I needed at least two bars for it to work. Went to a good location and it only took a picture during start up. Then we went and sat under an ATT tower with 5 bars. It still wouldn't work. Called tech support back and they said it will only work on Verizon network. I am a retired Federal Government IT Specialist and told him he was full of S*^T. No support, no refund, and now I am fighting with them to get my cell service refunded. They are thieves and know they have an inferior product and won't refund my money or exchange it even though it has a two year warranty. I am going to report them to the BBB and Federal Trade Commission. Might not help but I will not go quietly!

Are you hunting at Delta Wildlife? 24” beam really narrows down what you can shoot. Many will never reach that point.

I'm all for states banning these cell phone capable cameras. Already moving that direction out west (Nevada, Montana, Arizona) and hopefully it is embraced around the country. Regular old trail cams are fine and I don't have a problem with them, but the new remote technology ones that live feed you pictures and video are essentially drones that eliminate the fair chase aspect.

I’ve been using the MoultrieMobile since August. I’ve enjoyed it so far with no problems.
