People down on Ensminger should consider he did a great job in 2016 calling someone else's offense. I'm not saying he's the best option, but give the man a break.

Is Etling back? He took over in the middle of the season and got pretty damn good results. Oh he had problems vs bama...lots of teams do

I understand your point, but we already have a comparison. 2016 Bama game vs 2017 Bama game. Etling played both. This year wasn’t a success either, but it was a hell of a lot better offensively than the 2016 game was.

The only reason coach O mentioned coach Ensminger's name in that press conference is because coach Ensminger would have been the obvious logical go-to coach to call the plays in the Citrus Bowl game should coach Canada find a head coaching job. As coach Canada has been looking for a head coaching job like most OC's are since the day coach O hired him. It was all the stupid coach O haters who read something else into O's statement and then went berzerk as always.

Holy cow.. this guy bleeds his heart out for LSU, has developed strong relationships with hundreds of recruits/players over all these years and our fan base is shitting on him.
No, he shouldn't be an OC but he's a great guy to have recruiting North LA and an exceptional TE coach.

I already said his offense DOESNT SUCK until we play good defenses. Those other teams had crap defenses.

Not one single fan that I know of is high on this or is advocating it.
Some people just aren't melting over the possibility, which on this board is tacit approval. Others have said it wouldn't be just horrible, which again equals a glowing recommendation on here.
I don't believe it will happen, and if it does, I believe it will be a Co-OC situation, with someone like Briles or Freeze, who LSU may not want to elevate to full OC because of their baggage.

I mean this is kind of reaching since SE was on staff and had his hand in the offense in some capacity all along. Don’t you think he would have some clue what tweaks could be made before he started?
