Yards per game by our opponent: (I didn't feel like looking up scoring but it will follow the same path)

Chavis:
2009 327
2010 307
2011 261
2012 307
2013 340
2014 316

Steele:
2015 347

Aranda:
2016 314
2017 316

Basically the same success with either dude...

Chavis also has deeper depth.

Chavis was a good DC, only an idiot would say he sucked. Aranda is one of the brightest minds in college football. Losing him will hurt. After the Canada fight (real or not) , would any real defensive coordinator want to deal with a control freak like O?

As a fan, I do not understand your disdain for a coach to the point of wanting the program to fail and be dissed by other coaches and schools.

which begs the question of why he'd want to make a lateral move to rebuild a defense when he apparently has aspirations of moving to the NFL? A 1.2 million dollar raise for a couple years may not be worth the risk of hurting his stock when he knows he has a great defense coming back next year at LSU
