I'd probably make sure I had an MOU signed with someone before firing the HC but that's just me

Is this even possible? More knee-jerk reactions is exactly what this program needs. More reactions, more buyouts, and more HC's with minimal experience.

I would have hired him over Ed O in the first place. I cant think of a more expendable coaching position than DL coach.
