I liked the alien stuff until it became clear they were never going anywhere with the storyline, they were just diving into conspiracy world where every bad thing that ever happened is somehow connected.

I never even watched the re-cast seasons, so I have no idea what happened in them. I haven't watched this, but I'll get around to it eventually.
