My late MIL was so disliked that two of her sons never saw her the last twenty years of her life. She was so nasty to my husband that he finally saw her for what she was, and she was so vicious to him that he came down with Shingles. After knowing her, I began to believe that pure evil exists.
I still hate that she was able to so damage her children. And their Father loved to pull her strings and never stood up for his children.
