re: What do private school teachers in Baton Rouge make?

I never understand people( teachers) that complain saying “oh it’s more than just the 8 hours at school, I have to grade papers at home and deal with parents off the clock” .... that’s part of a career. It’s not a 9-5 job where you are done at end of shift it’s a career and lifestyle that is 24/7. You are a teacher, you don’t work as a teacher for 8 hours a day.

And every career is like that. I get called at 4am, midnight emails and have to deal with all sorts of people indirectly. It’s part of the career I picked. Just like all that shite is part of being a teacher
