Centreville MS - 21 degrees.
Box stand on south side of 200 yd food plot.
Was reading OB at 7:15 when I looked up and saw a nice 8pt come out middle of plot at 130 yards or so, nose to ground / not sure I’ve seen him on camera before.
Once he quartered towards me to the left I let my 30-06 loose at his front left quarter.
He jumped and sort of trotted off into pine thicket on the right.
Gonna give him some time and go look for trail around 8:15 - wish me luck!

We had to break ice to launch.....one or crew got sweaty in process and a little wet
It wasn't the coldest I have been, but it is in the top ten
Cable n one of our boats was frozen stuck
