I’ve heard everything from putting either onions, potatoes, or Vick’s vapo rub on the bottoms of you feet while wearing socks and sleeping. The next morning, the potatoes or onions are discolored and your symptoms have lessened greatly. Any truth to this?

I’m trying it tonight with Vick’s vapo rub and a “viral sinus infection”. I’ll report back tomorrow.

I power through anything that people say home remedies can treat. You have to test your immune system.

none of that stuff you listed works. Sometimes a gallon of orange juice in a short time can make a big difference. Also consuming a large dosage of Vitamin D3 will knock it out. Everybody gets cold viruses in the summer; they just don't know it bc there body has so much natural D3 from the sun that it knocks out the cold easily.

Mostly in the wintertime you just use enough symptom relief medicine to get through until it passes.

Try some fresh crushed garlic. Take a clove or two, crush it up and chop it up really good. Leave it out from a couple of mins to up to 90 mins. Then take it and put some in your mouth and swallow it like some pills and you get no taste.

Also warming up some water to ~160F or so and pouring into a cup and then add about 1/8 of a lemon or 1/4 if you a real baw, then add some freshly squeezed honey to sweeten to taste and you got some good drank to help with throat problems and lemon juice is very good for you as well, same with honey.

None of that stuff works to decrease your duration of illness. If it provides you symptomatic relief somehow, go for it.

I have a cold/sinus infection and pressure washed my house, worked out, and ran 3 miles outside. It's all mental plus my dog gets crazy if he doesn't get to run.

I've heard Icy Hot on the balls is the most effective.

I’ve attempted the Vick’s vapor rub for a constant nagging cough. Seemed to work pretty well.

Alka Seltzer cold will relieve cold symptoms to an amazing degree.

Plop plop, fizz fizz. 4 hours of relief, and you will feel the effect in minutes.

We put Vick’s instead of the scented wax in one of those Scentsy things next to the bed. Works great!

Feet. Slept with socks on. Could have been a mental thing.. but I’ve done it a few times and had decent results. I’ve only ever done it for a constant cough.

Chop up an onion, place in bowl, put on nightstand.

Cure your cold/flu overnight.

Put a skinned potato up your arse. It'll cure the flu in a few hours
