Hired roughly one month prior to NSD, his influence was likely pretty minimal. I don't recall how it went down per each commit reason for signing.
I wouldn't really credit him with a #1 class, nor a #10, #14,#50 etc.

Obviously, Les Miles cannot coach!

OK, I'll bite.
Is LSU good? I don't know. Is 9-3, ranked 15th in the country, finishing 4th in the SEC, and going to a Jan 1 bowl game goo? Most teams, and fans, would think so.
LSU during the Miles regime was not most schools and most fans.
Seasons like this were the driving force behind the movement to fire Miles. 4th in the SEC was unacceptable. Ranked outside the Top 10 was a disappointment. People got increasingly up in arms, until Miles was driven out.
And yet now, this same season record is being lauded, and it includes a terrible home loss to a Sun Belt team. And the people who praise this are also the ones that continue to mock Miles. Then they say we must give O a chance, he's building...
He was interim for over half a season, he knew the team he had. He had preseason All Americans on the roster, and yet after losing games he shouldn't, people said this was a rebuilding season.
He brought in a guy for $1.5 million to run the offense with 2 highly regarded freshmen QBs, and for whatever circumstances, that guy is leaving after 1 year.
This isn't building.

We shouldn't have hired O because no one else wanted him. So Miles......

Don't forget trying to call timeout on change of possession.

The only coach in the bcs era to get into the title game with 2 losses. Those losses being Kentucky and Arkansas. One could make the argument Kentucky football and Troy are close in comparison.
Wait the nit wit Miles would have said Rkansas.

When did Canada become the be all end all of OCs? He's never been anywhere longer than a year, has a history of alienated everyone around him, and undermines his head coach.
The problem is that if this was the case then O should have never hired him. The problem is that due to the fact that our HC has no offensive philosophy we will have to change schemes every time we change OCs, so why hire one that will only be here a year? How to you recruit for that? "Meh, come to LSU we'll make a gumbo. The offensive scheme? uh......it'll be a good gumbo".

Srsly?
That "with more" part WAS LES. Those "more" recruits didn't just come to LSU because it was LSU (despite what you idiots think). O gonna show yall just how steep the other side of the hump is.

False, this will end worse than it ended with Les in my opinion. Les was an excellent program manager. It's amazing we have some fans still excited about the change when we just wrapped up a season that was below Les' average win total per year.

I know GoodoleLess was loved by all, and his coaching abilities were unequaled . I know this by reading The Rant. I think that after 72 job openings, and the golden child was overlooked by not one school, but each and every one. Have any of you Miles nutsuckers every stopped to wonder why not ONE school offered miles a job ? Just think about it . I have family in Florida who continually belittled and made fun of Miles, and his lack of coaching abilities. They considered him a loser, and rued the day he was fired. But then again, he was a GREAT Coach . l read it on the RANT !!!
