How does your family open presents?

Both my parents and my wife’s parents insist on everyone opening one present at a time.
Started opening presents with my side of the family tonight at 530. Still going.

It’s an all out brawl. First to the tree wins. Elbows and groin hits are allowed.

We take turns opening one at a time.

Everyone gets their pile and open them all together once everything is distributed

One at a time.
We take snack breaks.
Takes hours.

Each family member is assigned their own personal servant to unwrap their presents for them. We usually bring in a couple of B list celebrities to MC.
Last year Bill Engvall rode my new Harley right into the living room.
I was not impressed.

All at once. Done in about 30 minutes tops.

I laughed more than I should have at this.

Everybody gets their pile. We then take turns opening one at a time and announcing who it is from. It was a tradition I started when I was about 12 because I enjoyed watching people get genuinely surprised when they got something cool and unexpected. If everybody goes hell in a cell you don't get to see everyone's expression.

Depends on what property we are spending Christmas at. Chateau in Switzerland we will open them before taking the jet. If it's on the island or our ranch in Telluride we will have them all loaded on the second jet and open one at a time.

My aunt insisted we do that one-at-a-time shite once. Took for-fricking-every. Was horrible. I just wanted to bring my PlayStation game upstairs and not see anyone again except for the half hour I scarfed down 3,000 calories.

Hand them out and watch each person open one at a time.

We open from youngest to oldest, one present at a time. We open everything Christmas Eve (just finished), and the kids open their gifts from Santa tomorrow.

One at a time.
It takes like 4-6 hours.
It’s awful.
I sit in the back and drunk on wine.

We always just opened everything at the same time
My In laws do the one at a time thing and take a pic after you open each.

Same. You have to show the present and tell everyone what it is and who it is from and then smile for picture.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that has to suffer through this.
