I’ve been saying for years that if you receive any form of government assistance, you should not be allowed to vote. This would eliminate the vote strictly for “free” stuff.

Does this include rich businessmen that take advantage of corporate welfare?

Yeah we've had laws like this before. They were kind of ruled as unconstitutional

Not sure what the popular vote would have been, but the Democratic party would be extinct.

Would be glorious.

Why do you want to take away the American farmer's right to vote?

How you can see any correlation between these companies and welfare leeches speaks volumes to your stupidity.

Why don't you boycott those "welfare farmers" and go on a hunger strike.

To vote, one should own property and/ or be a military veteran.

Unconstitutional?

Well, except for the part that it was Constitutional, until it wasn't. Ended in 1956 (coincidence that the Civil War started just 4 years later?) And since they changed property owners only having the right to vote, the countrys gone to shite

It has destroyed the incentive to better ones self, and then pass that work ethic on to the next generation. And also for the eventual destruction of democracy
quote:

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. With the result that every democracy will finally collapse - Alexander Fraser Tytler
