Grew up broke af so my Christmas presents were usually pretty crappy, buy one year my uncle bought me an MP3 player.. one of the first ones that came out years and years ago. It could only hold about 6 songs but I loooved it

Last year I got a pair of Sony Bluetooth noise canceling headphones, and I use them at work just about every single day, so that's been a great one.

at age 13 a surprise from my usually very cheap dad, and not in this good of shape but a running '57 Chevy.

I still have the cancelled check from the purchase ($350.00), he got the car from the original owner in Carriere, MS.

One year we got the Elimination chamber for all of our wrestling action figures. That was fun Also an Xbox that our parents hid behind our entertainment system for hours. We did all the other presents and even had other family members over at that point before we discovered it. I actually can't believe how much my parents dragged that one out. Also an air hockey table one year.

My son this year! He's an early present, but after him, I don't really "want" for anything for myself.

I thought I never wanted kids until I had one. It definitely gives life a whole other meaning.

This beat the hell out of throwing sticks and pine cones at green army men, cowboys, and Indians.

GTA San Andreas for the PS2. 13 y.o. NorthshoreTiger92 was pretty damn happy. Had my mom convinced that it was a racing game for me to get it.

When I was 10 years old at Christmas my dad gave me his 64 3 tone starburst Strat. I play it to this day and have played it on a bunch of sessions and it’s beat to hell and sounds great.

Going to give it to my son this year after all other presents are opened. He’s a guitar junkie too. Can’t wait to see his reaction.

By some total fluke in late November of 1969 my infantry battalion in Viet Nam was moved to a rear area combat base for about 6 weeks to provide security. We were able to live above ground, it was relatively secure, we got hot food, electricity, music, and had running water (and beer). I still remember singing Silent Night then. But, that was not the best. It was only second best. The best was the next Christmas with my family.

This is a very cool story. Thank you for your service.
