Who do Memphis residents/natives cheer for as their NFL team?

I know they love St. Louis Cardinals for baseball, but STL lost the Rams. Is it pretty much Titans country? Seems to far away for Saints fans and I’m sure they have their fair share of Cowboys fans.

Mostly Titans with a sprinkling of home roots and big national brands

it damn sure ain't the Titans. Memphis folk, in general, hate Nashville and anything to do with it. they probably root for whatever team is playing the Titans.

Well judging by team apparel and people I talk to and see, you would be wrong. Was a lot of buzz for the Predators here last year too.
The reason they like the Cardinals is because we have the triple A team, no one gives a shite about the actual city of St Louis

As a Memphis native and current Nashville resident, you are spot on

I'm an hour south of Memphis and most of the people I come across are either Saints or Cowboys fans.

When I lived in Memphis, there was a large group of Saints fans.
There was bar in midtown, can’t remember the name that was kind of the saints fans home base during the season.

I've probably met more Saints fans from the Memphis area more than anything else. But then again, most I know from the Memphis are are from South memphis/Southaven,MS. And I only really know like 10 people from there

When(I think Republic) closed the crew base in New Orleans, I believe many New Orleanians moved to Memphis. That was how a childhood friend and I ended up in Memphis as kids.

I saw more Cowboy fans last year when I lived there than any other team. Most locals hated the Titans because of them skipping town.

Bayou Bar and Grill is where we always went when I lived there.

It really was. Fans of all kinds were there. The Saints section was always the largest. Normally we would play the noon game and a good crew of Cowboys fans came in after. I don't really recall much Titans in that particular locale. I remember one dude and his skanky wife always being there requesting the Bengals game be played on one TV.

Ole Miss.

It wasn't them skipping town so much as we were in the running for a team too back when the jags and panthers came to be. Then just a few years later the Oilers move, and where to, Nashville. Then they tease Memphis and ask to borrow the Liberty Bowl. Attendance was so bad they only played there one year and played at Vandy the following year. But that isn't why Memphians don't root for Nashville teams. It's how Nashville natives have always turned their noses up at Memphis even before this recent boom in the Nashville population. There's always been a pseudo-rivalry between the cities if you want to call it that.

I wonder more about what college the majority of people cheer for. You're in Tennessee but Knoxville is way on the other side of the state and basically in a different world. Ole Miss is pretty close by to the south but in another state.
