Most people know that the swamp starts with lobbyists. They write the bills, pay for elections, and line the pockets of people in congress on both sides.

Changing people in admin positions happen in every new admin.

The swamp will stay, because they are the ones that get people elected and re-elected.

You can’t actually believe that changing people in admin positions is a start or he would have fired Comey day one and would not have his cabinet filled with Wall Street executives.

Making it hard for politicians to work with lobbyists would actually be a good start.

It was all a big con. Lobbyists staying at his hotel writing this tax bill.

All he has to do is insult black people and women online, and the base won't notice that he's filling his pockets with cash.

But MAGA, MAGA MAGA! Oh and Hilary emails....quickly turning a blind eye that the swamp is at an all time high. This board was in meltdown mode because Obama wore a tan suit and that wasn't considered presedential.

Obama went golfing a few times. Most of the snowflakes here were in meltdown mode. Now Trump has played 9 holes 79 times in almost a year, which is on record for most played by any president. Now playing golf is networking and no big deal.

Sarah Huck said Ryan isn’t leaving and him and Trump had a good talk.

Corker is deficit hawk who is not part of the swamp. He is just the opposite

Politicians that vote straight down party lines are part of the swamp

To the OP: He certainly isn't trouncing the members of the swamp as many would like. It is probably a bad expectation that this is even possible. But, he is making progress in numerous areas, as the others have pointed out and I think the biggest impact will be in the restrictions on the regulatory state. My only wish is that we could better educate the public (especially millennials) on the benefits of free enterprise and to see the true implications of government regulation.

One area that hasn't been mentioned: He is filling the federal judiciary with more Constitutionally-oriented judges.

The biggest bait and switch ever.

If you thought cleaning out K street was "draining the swamp" as most did.
