There's a reason why Trump did everything he could to stop Roy Moore from winning the nomination.

He should be tearing the heads off of Steve Bannon and Mitch McConnell for making this happen.

Enough Republicans stayed home, wrote in someone else or voted Jones.

That presidential elections bring out more voters than special elections and Moore was a less well liked candidate.

We don't need to "think".

Exit poll data shows only 20% of Alabama voters voted for jones to stop trump.

This was an election based on local politics.

Were you freaking out in massachusetts 2010?

If this were a repudiation of Trump, wouldn't Jones' numbers be higher than Hillary's?

Obama received 4 million less votes in 2012 than he did in 2008. Clearly this shows many of his own voters realized he sucked.

More people come out for a presidential election vs these kind but Moore was an awful and completely flawed candidate.

Most just stayed home or wrote someone else

Moore was extremely disliked by a lot of people, including conservatives in Alabama

This is the result of forcing a candidate no one wanted

Are you still parroting the talking point that Moore was Trump's guy?

Lol not for a special election. The fact the gap is that close is stunning.

Remember when the democrats got starched in 2010 and Obama still won in 2012?

Enough Trump supporters believed the lies against Moore or just didn't like him enough to vote for him.

If this were truly a "repudiation" of Trump, it wouldn't have even been close.

Trump won Alabama 62.9% to 34.6%. Do you honestly think that many Trump voters have turned against him?

massachusetts 2010 a repudiation of Obama? Was the 2012 Wisconsin recall election a repudiation of Obama?

I feel like you are being a bit of a hack, here.

It;s ironic that you are huge on the chomsky idea that the whole system is rigged and that we are being oppressed by bought and paid for pols, yet you have an absolute disdain for the most ultimate outsider in American history.

Scott Brown was a Republican running for reelection in a deep blue state you retard.

Let's see how well Jones fares in 2 years.

Largely, yes. Especially MA.

John McCain MA votes 11/2008 1,108,854
Scott Brown MA votes 1/2010 1,168,107

Something happened here.
