If you gotta pick only one single number metric, it’s ws/48. I always look at the big picture but for brevity sake sometimes reference the single number metrics if they are representative of what I see when looking at all things. Ive said this before but will say it again. I’m not a big metrics guy but use them to help guys like you see what I see with my eyes. You will probably never have the eye test that I have, the metrics I use allow you to see what I’m seeing. They are the support I use. Not what my evals are based on.

This about sums up how full of shite you are in one concise paragraph.

2 questions..

Looking at Lonzo's ws/48, how long do you think it will take him to be all NBA?

What do you think about Chris Paul being better than Michael Jordan?

Well first of all we like to reference ws/48 when it matches other stuff we’ve seen. If we never brought it up to compare Chris to Jordan It means that eye test tells us that ws/48 is not totally accurate in this case. If we had decided that cris was Better Than Jordan and Chris has the better win share we may reference win share bc it backs up everything else that We saw.

Again the metric doesn’t determine the eval, it is used to explain the eval to others when it agrees.

PG take while to develop. Guys like Conley. Lowry. Etc. all nba kinda guys looked like career backups at best til their 4th year. Lonzo will be a multiple time all star.

No player in the NBA comes close to creating as much isolation production as Harden. According to NBA.com tracking, Harden led the league in points off isolation possessions the past two seasons at 6.4 and 6.6 points per game, respectively. That number has leapt to a league-leading 10.6 points per game off isos this season. And Harden's iso efficiency has similarly soared, averaging an astounding 1.28 points per possession, the best of any player with at least 20 opportunities.

James Harden is the best isolation defender in the NBA right now, per @SynergySST (minimum 25 possessions).

Best iso player on offense
Best iso player in defense
Best team record
Best offense in league history
This could end up being close to unanimous like Steph MVP a couple years ago.

I know what I’m getting outta him. Book has been written. Lot of up and comers I’d like to see more of over Lebron.

Man, I disagree here. The book can be written and I will never get tired of reading. Any chance you can get the opportunity to watch a top-three player to ever play, you should take it. He's a couple weeks from 33-years-old and playing some of the best ball of his career.

I've got a feeling you were probably singing the same tune about Harden this time last year...

Idk about you but I’m not the kinda guy who watches the same movie more than a couple times. If I’ve seen it a couple times Then i know what happens and would rather look at something else. Give me that movie that I haven’t seen yet.

I hear you.

I've decided that Lebron is better at basketball than James. Your win shares can kiss my arse

The harden haters say “it’s the system”. Then we post the iso stats. One on one, no system impact at all. And it only makes his case stronger. Not only does he score more points isolated than anyone. He also is more efficient than ANYONE.

The harden haters say ‘he don’t play defense”. Then we post the is stats. BEST defender in the league in ISOs.

Don’t worry we have his low ft% rate geared up for those that say he only is looking draw fouls.

Bro we all know he's great.

We just get a bit hung up on his poor leadership skills in the playoffs.

I believe a CC fan brought Capela into it. Then Harden was naturally involved. Then Lebron.

Liking how you pop in for a comment like that. But ran off with your tail between your legs after I swatted the shite outta your low IQ ‘he has more help’ takes.

First of all, I've got shite to do bubba. Second of all, lol at you trying to call someone out for ducking threads.

And you didn't disprove a damn thing. LeBron would have more individual success offensively if he had a top 10 player like Chris Paul waiting in the wings to take pressure off of him. He doesn't and he still matches or bests James Harden in nearly every statistical category.

You couple that with him being in the vicinity of the same wins as the Rox (~5-7 wins) and it's a very tight MVP race than LeBron wins due to legacy/lifetime achievement award/etc...

Lebron averages 28/8/9 at his age on his almost 60% shooting( ) and gets the 1 seed without Kyrie and he WILL win the MVP.
