ETA: wow the schools in Louisiana are far less populous. In VA we have up to 6A for football. It’s normally only up to 3A for every other sport but they divide football even further. My high school had about 1700 kids and we were 5a. The 6A powers in Virginia had over 3000 kids.

Thank you. I'm not as conversant on the rest of the state, I know the names of the schools and what have you, but not the histories. Heck, I don't know a lot of details about this area, either. Which is why I didn't get specific, for the most part. Relying on failing memory.

I don't know that there are any schools that big in Louisiana. My buddy grew up in Tuscaloosa and went to a public school with an enrollment of 5,000 plus.

choupiquesushi and I don't see eye-to-eye on some issues, but he's more of an insider, I'm just a parent/fan. But he has forgot more than I'll ever know. Hopefully he will contribute. Chalmetteowl is a real fan and knows a good bit, then there's the whole West Monroe crew. GeauxColonels is another who knows a good bit.
