Secret Ballots must perturb the p/c crowd

Overheard some liberal folks at my kids’ high school complaining about the inaccuracy of polls. They agreed that likely Roy Moore voters are cowards for not “standing up” for their candidate. One finally said, if they can’t even admit that they are going to vote for Moore, they shouldn’t be allowed to vote. The other guy said, well that’s why they call it a secret ballot.
I was pleased that some sanity prevailed in their discussion, but there is no doubt that the pc crowd has an expectation that people state their beliefs and positions publically so that they can be identified, ridiculed, and demonstrated against.
If you voice opposition to progressive ideas, you are a white nationalist, racist, neo-nazi. If you keep your opinions to yourself, you are a white nationalists, racist, neo-nazi who is also a coward.

They fought like hell to get union votes made public. They failed but once again proved they work through intimidation.

The only votes that should be public, IMHO, are votes made on behalf of others (like votes cast by Congressmen). If you're representing more than just your own self, you should be held accountable by how you vote to those that vote for you.
OTOH, if the vote you cast is yours and yours alone, then you should be provided the expectation of privacy. A "known vote" is an easy way for a government to identify those against the "in power" block and be removed.
IMHO, you shouldn't even count votes by district unless the race is specific to the district. Identify the location of the vote only as far down as it matters (state for President and Senator, district for Representative) and stop.
