We knew he was good. That’s why we recruited him. We don’t recruit people who aren’t good. He just left early. Good luck to him.

Do your homework. LSJ played for Zachary and won 1 state 5A Title (game MVP).

Narcisse has not played in three years, but his videos show him to be an effective passer and an excellent, powerful runner.

This. From what I saw this season I believe Narcisse has the skillset that LSU wants in a QB. I look for him to get an extended look in the Spring and Fall camp.

As for Lindsey, I wish him the best and follow everything he does as does the entire Zachary Community here. I would not put to much faith in the evaluations you get here from these other posters... they went all in on Felipe Franks!

Before his senior HS season, Lindsey Scott replaced Franks on the La Bootleggers 7 on 7 team and led them to the National Tourney quarters.

I would love to have Scott back here, but I think he will end up going to a spread offense.

Im not knocking him. Just pointing out a fact. If he was as talented as some on here are saying he would have more opportunities right now. That doesn't mean he isn't a great person with a bright future. But it does mean that Les probably made a mistake recruiting him.

Dude hadn't even had a chance to see the field. Seems like they were adamant on Brennan being the backup. A true freshman who gave the 2016 defense fits in practice, wouldn't just leave after one year for nothing.

Maybe it was a height thing, but at the same time, the FCS player for Oregon lit it up in his one year moving up in division. He was 6'0 or 5'11 I can't remember. Manziel was 5'11 and at least 20lbs lighter than Scott, and was actually beat out at TAMU during the spring game of his redshirt freshman year, by a guy who never even got to play at TAMU. Manziel went from being beat out in the spring game, to dominating the SEC a few months later.

IMO, I would love to have Scott here to run Canada's offense and give us, not only some kind of college experience (cuz let's get real here, he plays with and against a bunch of former 3-5 star recruits as well), but a legit running threat at QB. I think he'd be a guy you put in shotgun a lot, and run a lot of RPOs and read options, with jet sweeps and tons of motion. That would be crazy to defend, especially if we somehow get Pooka Williams to come here, and be academically eligible

The Guy didn't say he would, but could. Several known QBs with crazy stats that transfer from their original schools to JUCOs usually do a lot better when given an opportunity at another school.

2016 Jerod Evans 3350 pass yards 29 TDs, 850 rush yards 12 TDs. Not ranked out of high school, went to Air Force, got injured, blew up in JUCO, and exploded in one and only year at V Tech. Took a team that was 7-6 the year before to 10-3 almost by himself offensively. Was also their leading rusher by 200 yards.

2014 Chad Kelly 4000 pass yards 31 TDs, 500 rush yards 10 TDs in first year at Ole Miss. Went to Clemson, was RS, looked below average in spring game, acted a fool, and finally got kicked out. Blew up in JUCO, and put on an assualt of the record books in his first year at Ole Miss. Gave Ole Miss their first 10 win season in over a decade.

2013 Nick Marshall, 1980 pass yards 14 TDs 1070 rush yards 12 TDs. Went to UGA, but was moved to DB, got kicked out and then went to JUCO, blew up, and then went to Auburn. Took them to a national championship in year one, and was less than 2 minutes away from winning it all.

2013 Jake Waters 3500 pass yards 22 TDs, 480 rush yards 9 TDs in second year. Not ranked out of high school, and went straight to community college. Blew up and went to Kansas St. Had a good first year, (2480 pass yards 18 TDs 310 rush yards 6 TDs), but exploded in his second year.

2012 Zach Mett, 3100 pass yards 22 TDs in 12 games in his second year at LSU. RS at UGA, lost to Murray, got kicked out and went JUCO, blew up, and went to LSU.

Also, transfers that did nothing at their other schools, yet were successful at new ones like Nathan Peterman (UTenn to Pitt), Ryan Mallett (Michigan to Arkansas), Jacoby Brissett (UF to NCST), etc.

There are more, but these are the ones I remember recently not named Cam Newton, and who went to power 5 schools.

May not be the only reason, but likely the defining one. A lot of guys get under looked for various reasons. Scott doesn't have blazing speed, nor a cannon arm, nor the height, so that's likely why he wasn't really recruited at top schools. But a guy that got offers to Ivy league schools, blew up JUCO (3480 pass yards 29 TDs, 730 rush yards 6 TDs), and gave our 2016 defense fits, sounds like a hidden gem to me. I would love, but also hate to see he's lighting it up at some power 5 school in the future, while we are still struggling at that position.

How the hell do you know if Scott is not a good qb?. Have you seen him play in person?. Or are you just assuming he isn't any good just because he is 5'11 or because Alabama, Auburn,Florida, Ohio St., or Oklahoma didn't offer him?.

What a way to judge how good a player is.

Height isn't the end all be all it used to be in regards to qbs. There are plenty of short qbs playing college football right now.

Or any other P5 school sans Kansas.

Russell had two with losing records. Scott had 5+ leaving HS. He chose wrong. Lets see how it turns out. If he improves Kansas (or whomever), who would really be suprised? Not many. Not me.

Playing Time AND Quality of school for education
