This guy left LSU because he wasn't given a fair opportunity to compete for QB with his size. In one year under in a new system, he proves once again how talented he is by leading East Miss JC to a national championship. Before that he led Scotlandville to 2 state championships. Why are we looking to sign 6'4" dual threat QB's with unknown potential when we have a 5'11" proven star?

Surely he would transfer back to LSU if Coach O wants him? Are we ignoring another Russell Wilson type QB that could light up the Tigers?

You sure you got the right HS chief? Didn’t know they changed their colors and mascot to copy Zachary.

No, I'm Grandpa Scott!!

Actually I would like a serious answer. Do you think Scott isn't capable? He is electric!! Has been during his career. JC players are generally not sub-par athletes. Most have grade or behavioral issues and go to JC to redeem themselves or to prove they belong in a D1 school.

What do you know about Lindsey that makes him less capable than the QB's we are considering out of HS?

The fact he was not good enough to beat out Justin Mcmillan for 3rd string qb?

Not saying the kid couldn't be good anywhere but when Tulane is recruiting him the hardest, meanwhile other JC qbs are getting big offers, that has to tell you that maybe the bias has set in. That's fine and all but others are gonna call you out in it.

This can't be true. I thought he wasn't given a fair chance at Lsu, and went and proved his ability at juco? Urban didn't come calling?

Sorry about the HS mistake. Zachary it is. Regardless, Scott is probably going to end up in a SEC school after JC and beat the hell out of our Tigers. We didn't want Dak Prescott as a QB either! We recruited him as a tight end. The rest is history. Our record at recruiting successful QB's to LSU has, at best, been abysmal.

But, I'm sure that's all changed for the better...

I am so sick of hearing this. He was not able to "beat" out anyone due to his lack of size. If you think Les would have allowed him to be the QB, you are kidding yourself just like Miles not EVER having an undersized RB be the lead back.

Miles won a lot, but was stubborn. He had a formula as to what he thought were measurebles for positions and Scott was not in that mold. I hope Lindsey goes somewhere and absolutely kicks arse to shut some folks up. Remember when Russell Wilson was not good enough? Funny how that worked out, he IS THE Seahawks offense.

The Miles argument doesn’t hold water. Miles was his coach for summer of 2016 and four games. Orgeron was his coach for the remaining eight games of 2016, spring practice 2017 and summer of 2017. Scott left LSU after fall practice started last August. I don’t know Scott or what his reason for leaving was but it wasn’t because of anything Les Miles did.

Of course it does. Miles was not really giving the man a shot and if you think O was, you are crazy.

Look, I don't really blame either of them. Miles won a lot with his formula and O wasn't going to roll the dice with an unproven commodity, especially one who did not fit one of the classic QB measurebles. If he did and failed, then no permanent job for him.

Like others say, it just did not work out, but is interesting to think what could have been. I just want to see folks stop bashing the kid, who seems by all cases, to be a great person on and off the field.

He's visiting Kansas today wouldn't shock me if he ended up there. Buddy can make any qb put up big numbers with their style of offense at EMCC. The future of LSU is already on campus in Lowell or Brennan.
