Warren Moon sued for sexual harassment by assistant at his sports marketing firm

Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon has been accused of sexual harassment and sexual battery in a lawsuit filed by a female employee of his sports marketing firm and will take a leave of absence from his role on Seattle Seahawks radio broadcasts.

Moon denied the allegations in a text to Seattle's KING 5 TV, according to on-air host Paul Silvi. KING also employs Moon as part of its Seahawks coverage.

The Seahawks released a statement Wednesday saying the team has accepted Moon's request for a leave. The statement did not list a reason.

The lawsuit was filed Monday in Orange County Superior Court in California. Wendy Haskell said that Moon made "unwanted and unsolicited" sexual advances toward her while she was working for Sports 1 Marketing as Moon's assistant. The lawsuit lists Moon as president and co-owner of the Irvine, California-based company.

How are we supposed to know the shite's unwanted till we try?

ETA: of course, I usually err on the side of it isn't wanted with me. What with history and life experience being what they are.

This is the new cool thing to do. Some guy said you’re hot and asked if you wanted to go back to his place? Oh, well go ahead and post “#MeToo”

The woman @real molested on the plane told Anderson Cooper tonight that every man over 55 in a position of wealth or power is guilty. This is nothing less than pussy grabbing power by going after every man's nuts.

In order for it to be sexual harassment, the individual must at least make an effort to let you know the advance is unwelcome. Once that point has been made, and the advances continue, it becomes harassment. There are a different set of parameters if it’s solicited as a prerequisite for a promotion or something of that nature. But in general, if there hasn’t been an effort to make it known that the advances are unwelcome, it’s not harassment.

More to it than that

“The first African-American quarterback to be inducted into the pro-football Hall of Fame is accused of making his assistant sleep in his bed on business trips, forcing her to wear only lingerie when alone with him and of drugging her drink, according to a bombshell new lawsuit. “

These words ^ make me dissagre with you. Even if she's smoking hot, this is simple shite someone should know not to do to ensure they don't lose their job or look like Mr Moon.

Believe me, I disagree with the ME TOO thing, but if you don't think he's wrong then you should educate yourself with sexual harassment laws.

It depends how it's done. Especially in a professional environment you kind of have to play things conservatively. If you're jumping straight to sexual requests with people with whom you are working then you're playing a dangerous game.

He is innocent until proven guilty, I have no clue what he has done but if the above is true. Then I would say yes, that's sexual assault.

I mean what can he say? They were wrestling?

There are some advances that can be said or done that a person doesn't need to explicitly say they don't want. They jump straight up to the level of inappropriate.

Please explain. If it’s that serious and involves a physical touch, then it’s assault. Sexual harassment is typically verbal. Inappropriate doesn’t necessarily mean it’s harassment.

ETA: I understand that it’s possible for harassment to be physical, I’m just curious how it would skip directly to harassment with the first incident, without it being related to strings attached employment, etc...
