If you go straight up to a woman with whom you have a working relationship and no prior romantic ties and ask her to frick or perform other sexual acts with you then it is inappropriate and falls under sexual harassment. Especially if the guy is a superior then the request is a threatening action in itself because it is hanging over the employees head that not complying can be used against her. It is naturally pressuring. Really the sexes of the two people could be reversed. This is a far cry from asking a coworker on a date and getting rejected.
Did you really not know that you can't do that?

I'm glad to see someone else with some common sense.
I get this is the OT, but none of you act like this in real life, because if you did, your non famous arse would definitely be in jail, or unemployed.

This is true.

Perhaps that’s the way some employers classify it - with a blanket policy. But legally speaking (generally), a simple sexual advance is not harassment.
The key word is always “harassment.”
From the government:
quote:
the law doesn’t prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or isolated incidents that are not very serious, harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted).
In order for it to be harassment, it has to be “unwanted.” It’s virtually impossible to prove the advance is unwanted the first time it happens - assuming it’s not employment (boss/subordinate) related.

All of this might be true, and if so is terrible. But why couldn’t she have just said “no?”

Since when is sports marketing not about sex?
Next thing you know the trade show booth attendants will be suing the sponsors, followed by the Grand Isle Tarpon Rideo boat dancers suing Bridgeside Marina.

Did she think he hired her for her brain?

He hired a Playboy model...I wonder what her actual job responsibilities were?

quote:Agreed, it's more of a collective power grab. I already have to hold the door open, deal with affirmative action, buy drinks, etc. It's a woman's world already.
this is not equal to sexual harassment
some women have lost their fricking minds.
I usually just say they're biased towards such claims (on women's rights), which is true, and clouds their judgement.

Why go on more than one trip?
Why take the job?
Why sleep in the same room? More than once?
WTF kind of job did she accept?
Basically, WTF?

Yea, I'm not automatically discrediting this woman's accusations against Moon or saying she is lying BUT, there's a good deal of WTF going on here.

Uhhhh...I don’t think that’s what he did.

The lawsuit alleges that soon after Haskell was hired in July 2017, Moon demanded that she "submit to a variety of unnerving sexual and perverse controlling arrangements, including sleeping in the same bed with him on all business trips, providing him unfettered access to the bathroom every time she showered, wearing skimpy lingerie while in the obligatory single room, obtaining prior approval for her wardrobe, and being subjected to continuous unwanted and unsolicited sexual advances."
quote:
According to the lawsuit, Moon drugged Haskell's drink without her consent during a business trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Haskell said she began feeling strange and asked Moon if he had put something in her drink, which he then admitted to doing, she said, telling her he did so because he thought she wasn't "having fun." On the same trip, according to the lawsuit, Moon pulled off Haskell's bathing suit while they were on the beach, despite her pleas with him to stop.

This is not the first time that Moon has been accused of sexual misconduct.
