Ala the Camping World bowl, the CEO of Camping World CEO is a raging Trump hater.

"Serial entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis had some choice words on about those who may support President Donald Trump.

"There's no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said, and quite frankly, don't shop at my business," said Lemonis, who is CEO of Camping World and host of CNBC's "The Pro.

RV owners have been avoiding sales at his stores, me including. Never a dollar again at that store.

It was national news as a statement from a retail CEO.

That was like 10 months ago. He apologized. He needed that NASCAR money.

A shite ton of Trump supporters will be in attendance at that bowl so he should probably be grateful.

It seems to me your original comment vacated any pretense at intellectual discourse.

I'm not angry at all. I just like explaining how America works to limp wrist liberals.

Apologies, I'll put a Trigger Warning on it next time.

His company also sponsors a NASCAR race. I can't think of a single sport that would have more Trump voters.

So where is the shareholder oversight? If I own stock in a company and the CEO is so stupid as to drag my company into politics, I expect heads to roll.

The fact that a CEO can fail so bad at Business 101, is cause for dismissal.

And let him sue for the golden parachute as I am sure the company can show loss of value as a result of his ignorance at the helm.

nope.

You fell for fake news.

quote:

"There's no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said, and quite frankly, don't shop at my business," said Lemonis

the context was in response to a question about the presidents business council disbanding, and it was the day after the Trump remarks about the Charlottesville rally ("great people on both sides" etc). Lemonis and just about everyone else in the world were kind of horrified by Trumps failure to take a firm (and unilateral) stance against white supremacists.

So the comment doesnt even take any side against Trump "supporters" or even Trump himself for that matter.

Its totally non-controversial, but the headlines lied (surprise surprise) and roped you in.
