Probably. As I go to many of their big games like this.
I went to the FSU game this year, so I'm having second thoughts on going to NOLA again(I was there last time y'all beat Alabama).
But my mom asked me if I'd go if she could convince my dad to make the trip. So I'll probably be there.
I'm down. Bring lsupride.

Well, that's not happening. I've never once said that Ohio State is one of the top four.
You ever finish that research up, you little liar?

That isn't the claim you made, Peej.
You were wrong, or you're a liar. I don't care which is true.

Then link it, Peej.
You made a big deal about "doing research," and here you are, with nothing.

The committee showed us that it matters more, regardless of the resumes.
Ohio State had a conference championship, a better strength of schedule, and three wins better than Alabama's win over LSU.
You are confused because you seem to be only able to comprehend one variable to the equation.
Wins matter. Losses matter. Some wins are more important than some losses. Other losses are more important than some wins. I'll give you examples if you need them.
The bottom line is that, while Ohio State had some decent wins, none of them were elite wins. And, more importantly, they had a big loss to a playoff team, and as disastrous, blowout, embarrassing loss to a Iowa.
Alabama's wins weren't as good as Ohio State's, but they suffered no bad losses.
When you consider everything, Alabama is clearly the right choice. And, I hate Alabama. I tried to explain this to you last week, but you smugly replied that Ohio State was going to get in.
You were wrong.

...another person who believes resume is only based on wins. It's not. It's based on wins AND losses.

I side with Bama but the resumes are absolutely close. Ohio St has better wins. Bama has less losses and not a really bad, 31 point loss to a 7-5 team on their resume which offsets the strength of teams beaten in some way that makes it close and in the same ballpark.

Oh. Well, except this:

Glad that's cleared up.

I replied with what Kirby Hocutt said, and that Ohio State was likely in with a win.
Not my problem that Hocutt is inconsistent.

...and a loss that outweighed the difference in those wins.
Again, you don't seem to be able to comprehend that losses carry some weight was well. And, a loss to a bad team carries a lot of weight. And, getting blown out to a bad team carries so much weight that OSU never had a real chance.
No matter how much it bothers you to admit it, it doesn't change the fact that you were wrong.

*Two losses.
Ohio State is easily in with a win over Oklahoma.

I've said since the Iowa loss that it will be a problem. It doesn't matter if you ignore that.
Saban went on TV immediately after Ohio State beat Wisconsin to beg the committee to put Bama in over a two-loss team that gave up 55 to Iowa. The committee still took all night and late into them next morning to decide.
Yeah, no real chance...

If the committee stays consistent, I'm correct. Hocutt is done in February. That'll be a good day for the sport.

There is no scenario were your inaccurate prediction can be correct.
quote:
Ohio State is easily in with a win over Oklahoma.
This is an opinion of yours that I disagree with. Ohio State would have had a marginally better resume of wins, but Ohio State would still have that albatross of a loss. Plus, Oklahoma stomped Ohio State at Ohio State.
Oklahoma should have gone in over Ohio State. I think the committee would have seen it that way.
Posted on 12/4/17 at 5:22 pm to KosmoCramer
"But if it goes based on strength of schedule and how many good teams you beat, then that is the best way to pick the teams to be in the playoff."
How is this not Saban saying Ohio State should be in?
I don't care. Just hypocritical of him to change his tune.

If Kirby Hocutt sticks to the protocol, I'm correct. Hell, if he sticks to what he said less than a week ago, I'm correct.

Cool story. One-loss Ohio State is still in. The point is that the Iowa loss wasn't a single data point, obviously.
