Resume is relevant of course, but as long as the resumes are in the same ballpark, the second loss matters way more.

The committee showed us that it matters more, regardless of the resumes.

Ohio State had a conference championship, a better strength of schedule, and three wins better than Alabama's win over LSU.

My point was comparing the resumes of 2007 Kansas to 2017 Alabama.

There's probably enough separation between 2017 Ohio State and 2007 LSU to make this a moot point.

That's not the entire resume.

If you have impeccable experience for a job, but there's a major felony on your resume, it may be tough for an employer to overlook the felony.

Maybe, but candidate B only once was put in a position that required the experience needed for the job, and failed.

At least Canidate A showed they can handle it at times.....

That's still the same ballpark. Sure OSU has better wins. The second loss still trumps.

Then UCF should be in correct?

Best wins

#20, #20

Same ballpark and have zero losses.....

What a stupid analogy.

Then we have a different definition of ballpark. And no, UCF is not in it.

So ranked wins

A-4

#6, #9, #16, #21

B-2

#17, #23

C-2

#20, #20

So A and B are in the ballpark, but not C

Why are Bama fans so insecure?

We gotta see these threads for a freakin' month.

An Alabama fan didn't make this thread.

Have Alabama fans been blowing up the MSB?

What a stupid analogy.

Except it's not. A 30+ point loss to an unranked team is going to jump out at you every time you look at the resume. Same thing with any red flag on your work resume.

In your analogy though, Bama doesnt even have the expereince needed for the job.......They have no top wins

That's their ranking.

Doubt the playoff committee thinks they're that good, though.

Yes, it is. A 30+ point loss can be overlooked by the committee.

No company looking for top-level candidates is even going to consider someone with a felony. That resume doesn't even pass filters. It's an automatic no.

There's your issue.

Does the playoff committee even know what they think? 6 days ago, Ohio state and bama were very close with little separation.

After ohio state beats their #3 ranked team, and bama sits home, bama becomes clearly better
