The op asked will he ever get credit. The fact that he has to ask this and met opposition speaks volumes.

We didn’t play the McNeese game so if O wins the bowl game we’ll be 10-3, Les was 9-3 in 2015 that’s not the same record.

Ok dude

People are largely just saying he'll get credit when he accomplishes something of note. Are you super pumped up about a 9-3 season? I'm not. Pull in a great class this offseason, win the west next year and I'll give him all the props in the world

I agree but validation and improvement aren’t the same thing. Be patient if he loses Canada and if it happened because of personal bs I’m with you he needs to be checked but so far things are moving in the right direction.

The season didn't collapse after the Troy loss like it could've.

I give him credit for that.

But this was always a team loaded with talent. When the game calls for a coach to show great strategy or tactics or anything but rah rah? I don't believe O can provide that.

But whatever. Beat Notre Dame, and I'll call this first season a significant feather in his cap.

No. Maybe you should because 9-3 would be a season of a lifetime at Vandy.

When O’s Tigers:
Beat Bama
Win an SEC West Title
Win an SEC Championship Game
Make the playoffs
Win a College Football National Championship

Just win, baby.

Some LSU fans will never give O credit no matter what he does. He did a good job this season, especially with the things we had to overcome.

Simple fact of the matter is we have arguably the second best coach in the SEC

, he was about to get tarred and feathered and the "fanbase" was calling him a one-hit wonder. Much like how chizik is viewed

Talk about revisionist history or maybe fake news

People were distraught he was left we were 9-2 with a 1 point loss to undefeated Auburn and 2 monster classes in 2003 and 2004. The future looked bright when he left. 1 hit wonder where do some of you get this crap
