Funny you mention not looking alike, my son has always been very tan but apparently my great great great grandmother was Native American so I guess it must be a recessive gene!

My brother is the only one of five siblings with black hair. The rest of us are blond or dirty blond/brownish. We all have blue or green eyes, except for him. His are kind of dark gray. He tans really well. These rest of us, not as well. One sister, not at ALL. Her sons are practically fricking albinos.

My dad had black hair and very similar features to my older brother. We have some old pics of my dad when he was stationed on Guam and he's got the best tan of his life, but he was actually kind of a fair skinned guy.

I'm very curious to see what, if any, DNA variation there is between us. It seems like we should be very similar, but I don't really know how it works. I guess I should have paid better attention in biology class.
