Hard to really tell, what with the shadow that your fingernails are casting.

Looks like a hog to me, but I wouldn't put money on it.

probably a doe. it's a myth that you can tell bucks from does by just their tracks. Yeah, bigger one is more likely to be a bigger bodied deer but that doesn't mean it's a buck.

Hey, I'm actually kinda proud of those. It took me nearly 20 years of trying, but I have finally stopped chewing on my fingernails down to the nub every week.

I don't care either way. Just went out to the old garden while walking with my son, and found tracks/digs everywhere. This was the just clearest of the big tracks. There are some bigger, but they are more muddled.

Rounded front points, large space in between the pads and large size in general all point to a hog.

The ground isn't dug up as bad as hogs do, and there is deer scat everywhere. Not hog. I know what it is, I'm just trying to see if that's as large of a deer track as it seems to be to me. Because it's one of, if not the biggest, I've ever seen.

Also, I've never seen or heard anything about hogs around this part of Alabama. Talladega county to be exact. Our family has 1500 acres in the foothills of Cheaha, and never had a single hog on it.

I will gladly admit I'm not an active hunter by any stretch of the imagination. Just squirrels and quail are pretty much it, though I do shoot the occasional varmint that shows up.

2 more of the clear imprints, these are a good bit smaller, and the deer were obviously lighter than the big track by their lack of indention. There are probably over 100 individual tracks though. So...what, 3 or 4 deer were out here at the most?

This was the deepest dig spot in the garden, it was barely 3 inches deep.

I used my dick to measure, and had plenty of space between it and the dirt.
