Why has Texas A&M and/or Tennessee ignored Paul Chryst?

I'm fully aware that he's a former player (QB) and this may be his dream job (I'm nor really sure one way or the other).

He's a phenomenal coach and always has his team playing above their abilities. Wisconsin...pound for pound...arguably gets the most out of their players' abilities.

I think he'd be a consistent winner at one of these programs.

Wisconsin persists because of Barry Alvarez and his system.

The last two Wiscy coaches who left failed miserably and I seem to remember Chryst failing horribly in a prior position.

He's let it be known he has no interest in other jobs.

Dudes got it made at his alma mater. Everyone loves him there.

He’s In one of the worst divisions in college football. He’ll have Wisky in contention for the Big 10 title and playoff almost every year.

No reason to leave

I don't think Chryst has any desire to deal with the hassle of being an SEC Coach.

Jesus christ. Just as a fan that's horrible to have that be your permanent schedule.

With that diet of cupcakes plus a contractually obligated MAC game, you can afford to put a big boy on the schedule every season or two.

Because Wisconsin's last coach didn't work out in the SEC?

I would be somewhat nervous

Bert killed it at Wisky

68-24 with 3 straight Big 10 titles

And then he sucked balls

I know you shouldnt necessarily judge a coach on how another did after leaving the program, but it would sure make me hesitate

This.

he is in a terrible division and has an easy walk to the playoff most years.
