Canada's possible departure and it's impact on the offense

Let's assume Canada leaves. O will have to go out and find another coordinator. Hopefully a top tier coordinator. That puts our offense in a position to have to learn a new scheme.
And if that coordinator leaves? Rinse and repeat.
Can it be safe to say that this is a huge problem with the Coach O hands-off CEO style of coaching? He has no offensive philosophy himself. He has been told by his boss to leave the offense alone. Am I the only one who sees this as a huge problem, or am I overreacting?
And if that coordinator leaves? Rinse and repeat.

I'm sure he'll promote from within so it will fulfill his agenda of burning this program down to the ground.

It's been safe to say this since the day he was hired, and literally no one has offered a reasonable response to why it isn't.

No...

Yea cuz we took steps in that direction this year right dumbass?
You're living up to your name.

It would really suck to completely overhaul the offense just as it seemed our players were started to get used to it.

One of the biggest problems would be that we have 2 QBs in Brennan and Narcisse that have a year working in Canada’s system. You essentially burn that year of experience and will be starting a QB who is forced to learn the new system while playing in games.

Oh come on, baw
I loathe yaw like you do, but even despite my idea of him being a blue runner chuggin clown, Orgeron would never make Steve Ensminger the replacement for Canada

If Canada leaves, LSU has the money to pay top dollar to attract a good coordinator

Apples and oranges and all. But look at how many OCs Bama goes through. If he sticks with spread concepts it shouldn't be to bad.

I'm certain they do. But how far back does that set the offense, having to get accustomed to a new coach with a new system?

IF Canada did leave which he isn't, I have a good idea of who Eaux will hire. A guy who he gave his first ever college coaching job, a guy who recruits lights out and has beaten Bama 2 times in just five tries as a HC.
Hugh Freeze will rejoin Eaux for the 2nd time.

Hugh would be at LSU for a while before getting another chance at a HC position. Nothing to worry about.

I think having the funds and players to entice the top OC's in the country to come to LSU is a good thing and not a problem. Every team loses their best coordinators - this is not something that can ONLY affect LSU. Coach Eaux has been apart of 4 national championship teams and knows that it takes a very good offense to win them.

Neither does Nick Saban. A lot of successful HC's are from the defensive side of the ball. This is totally meaningless.

this is fake news started by the biggest HACK to ever have an article published. Stop with this bullshite.

Always with the negative waves, Moriarty.
Seriously, I don't know, it's been a while since I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. But, since you seem to lean to the pessimist side, you probably won't ever change.

And saban is the the offensive guru at bama? Come on now, I know O doesn't fit in the offense, but , it's not unlike a lot of coaches in CFB.

Downvote if you want, but I bet O already has a stud OC willing and waiting to coach all this talent. Canada has been an improvement, but I think O is looking for a more traditional spread attack.

yep, and a year to get accustomed to new drills terminology etc. Its football at some point for fricks sake and we have really, really good skill players on offense..

This. It's like it gives LSU a built in excuse to go 9-3 again.

It's almost like hundreds and hundreds of posters on this very site saw this predicament coming from miles away.

That certainly is the glass half empty view.

It is a short term set back. Not good for the Miami game but by the back half of the schedule, it shouldn't matter.

What do you base this off of? He's given like 10 different answers over the last year as to what kind of offense he likes. I think at this point it's safe to say he doesn't really know.
