Bring Back LSU Vs. Tulane

This was an incredible rivalry. I went to LSU 1979 - 1982, it was a great rivalry. Tulane beat our Orange bowl team loaded with talent. The schools should play every year, Tiger Stadium then the dome. Bring it back!

No. No one gives a shite anymore. They tried it and basically had to cancel due to lack of interest. Once a decade is fine.

I’ll also add we should play 5 games in BR for every 1 game in New Orleans. Their stadium holds about 30,000 and is retractable

Arguing for this is like Alabama fighting for the Tennessee game only worse. Until Tulane can make their team competitive there is no reason to play them year in and year out. I rather find an opponent with some upside to do that with. Miami and Notre Dame have a rivalry without being close. Same with USC and Notre Dame. I say find a worthy opponent out of conference to do that with.

One year in Baton Rouge then take a year off then play again but in New Orleans. But the New Orleans game must be played in the Dome. LSU gets the majority of the tickets and fans will not be stuck in the upper deck like what happened in 2007.

If we played them, they would improve because they would get some of those kids in NOLA. With 1 running back it was a 10-0 game at he half if I remember correctly.

It was a good rivalry, but it hasn't been very good for at least the last 20 years. Tulane should have stayed in the SEC and they would have had a very different fate. I would like to see the rivalry pick back up, but not until Tulane builds their program back up and it can be competitive again.

This has been a dead rivalry for well over 20 years. No one on the Tulane cares, as they never sold their entire ticket allotment for TS & the Dome game crowds were always a LSU majority & poorly attended. There would be literally no on-the-field competition as the weenies are horrrrible & have been for decades now. Putting money in their pocket vs a Yankee school? Do you not realize that the majority of weenies students/alums are from out of state, many from the N.East? Their baseball program treated LSU like shite every chance they got & Skip lost no sleep over telling them to take a hike when their A.D. demanded more of the revenue in the old Winn Dixie baseball challenges. Not no, not hell no but nofrickingway.
