Would Josh Rosen's personality keep you from picking him #1?

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline compares some of the talk of alleged personality issues with UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen to what was said of former Michigan State QB Connor Cook.
Per Pauline, at least two NFL GM's have flat-out decided that Rosen will be a stay-away for draft purposes due to his demeanor. Writes the analyst, "Opinions are that Rosen is not the leader they need on the field for the next level -- the things he’s gotten away with on the college field won’t fly in the NFL." Pauline adds that "[t]he word egotistical was mentioned many times in referring to Rosen." We're almost surely going to continue to hear reports along these lines as the draft process picks up speed, but Rosen is also supremely talented -- one evaluator told Pauline that many of his throws are "off the charts" special -- and could well end up the No. 1 quarterback selected in the spring, even with questions of character and demeanor floating about.

I'll be shocked if Rosen pans out, even after watching him do A&M dirty.

Aaron Rodgers has the same kind of things said about him and it worked out for him.

I gurantee you those GM's don't work for teams that have a top 10 pick. Im not saying that his personality isn't a concern, but there's plenty of good players that aren't in love with the game.

Can we elaborate on what personality issues we are talking about? All I know is he came out and said the NCAA was bullshite, which would give me a favorable opinion on him.

This isn't anything new, he's always been very arrogant. Stanford didn't offer him a scholarship because they didn't like his attitude.

bet you if he doesn't go #1 then he'll scream that it's because of anti-Semitism

Theres always been stuff about how he is just a dick and no one at UCLA liked him

Look at them measuring intangibles.

He is an intelligent guy from an extremely upper class background. I can see how he can rub people the wrong way, and I bet he doesn't relate to many players or coaches at all because they come from different backgrounds than him.
But so what? The most promising young star in the NBA (Giannis) has said on record he hates team building exercises, goes for days without talking to some of his teammates, never delivers speeches or motivational exercises, and mostly works his arse off alone. And the fans, sponsors, and media can't get enough of him.
If you're good enough, you don't have to be a Rah Rah type. The idea of teammates being best friends and teammates being brothers is played out bullshite, especially at the professional level.
If Rosen is good enough on talent (and I haven't watched him enough to have an idea, but his stats look as good as basically anyone's), then you pick him top 10.

I could never draft an atheist to be the leader of my team.

How many teammates went to his birthday party?

no he didn't. Rodgers had to go to juco because he didn't even get a d1 offer. Rosen has been babied since middle school. Not the same thing

Probably the same GMs from losing teams that thought Goff and Wentz weren't good picks. I don't listen to a damn thing they say anymore. Before this season all of the experts were calling Goff a massive bust.

Kevin Costner is going to figure it out
Posted on 11/22/17 at 9:21 pm to hsfolk
No, he doesn’t get in trouble with the law, to my knowledge he isn’t a problem child and has a strong work ethic, and is tough in the pocket with a rocket arm. Next question.

This is just stupid. Cam Newton did far worse things in college and he was the next face of the NFL. After getting CAR to the super bowl pundits had already reserved a spot for him into the NFL.
Rosen gets it done on the field. Finding a franchise QB is basically a crapshoot.

Who was the last Super Bowl winning QB to not accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior?

You can't sit there and tell me with a straight face that Brady didn't make a deal with Lucifer during halftime last year
