Exactly. If Alleva had any sense in that situation, he’d tell Orgeron, “Canada is more valuable to the program than you are. He stays. You’re out.”

Bailing before the ship sinks not doubt. Going to be a shite show of epic proportions on offense next season. You could potentially see a set of bad RBs, inexperienced QB play and still raw WRs that have shown up all this season. Going to look like Florida on offense next year. I'd bail too if he has any high stock left.

Mascona spent 6-7 discussing whether or not Einsminger would want the OC job if Canada left

Orgeron would be digging his own grave.

Snakes hung thick from cypress trees, like sausage on a smokehouse wall.

O is having a more successful season as head coach than Canada is as an Offensive Coordinator.

We saw O's offense against Troy. We've seen Canada's offense since Troy. Which offense do you like better? I wonder if there is a reason O has never been a coordinator.

Our team is ranked #18 in the country. Our offense is not. They are ranked about #10, though. In the SEC.

Would it surprise you if he left? We are talking about a coach who has 5 jobs in the last 6 years or some shite like that

Gordy Rush would probably be the sauce as he and Hannigrif are as close as you can get. If Hannigrif is talking it up, it’s legit as far I’m concerned. My main concern is how much it’s going to hurt recruiting.

Ensminger didn't have two true freshmen starting on the OL and one of the best OL we've had in Pocic.

Not sure that the offense performed at a level that met or exceeded expectations based on the OC's salary, so it would not be a terrible surprise.
I mean, it seems the most accurate predictor of offensive production has the health of Guice.
Also, more experience the freshmen linemen get learning how to play in this system.

It very, very clearly has not.

You think?

Despite all the idiots crowing “WE YUNNNGG!!!” This offense loses practically all its skill players and then we have to go with our fourth OC in four years?

So I guess O gets another pass because the new OC needs “time to put in his system,” huh?

The O-pumpers would have LOVED Lou Tepper: “It’s going to take at least five years to put in my system.”

Bottom line: nothing good can come out of Matt Canada jumping ship after one year.

His departure would be rock-solid evidence that throwing money at good coordinators is not enough to keep them here and working for a career position coach.

This system is built on a house of cards and Canada leaving will be the first big sign that it’s about to come crashing down.

Canada needs more time, but the offense is coming along. I give Canada two more years before he moves on.
