I am not sure that would be the case, even as much as I want us to go and as much as I dislike OSU.

An OSU with wins over a top 10 Wisconsin (probably dropping to 8 - 10 with an OSU victory), a top 12 or so PSU, and a top 20 MSU is probably stronger than our resume of a win over a top 10 USC, a top 20 MSU, and a top 25 Stanford (with the slight possibility that Wake Forest and/or NC State back doors into the top 25 next week). Our losses are better, actually much better even with the blowout at Miami, but they'll have a slight edge in big wins and a conference title to boot.

Notre Dame has more or less accepted as fact that we have to be clearly and obviously better than a conference champion with the same number of losses to get into the playoff in this format. It's sort of the deal we made with the devil. I don't think that would be the case this year w/r/t OSU. I think one wrench that could be thrown into the wheel is if PSU and/or Wisconsin lose this coming weekend...then I'll start talking us up over OSU.
